Èclat par Yella started with something simple: I’ve always loved lip gloss, but my skin didn’t always love it back.
Growing up, having a lip gloss in your back pocket was basically a necessity. But as much as I loved that perfect glossy lip, I hated what often came with it… Dryness, irritation, breakouts, and ingredients I knew nothing about.
Eventually, I started paying attention. I began reading labels, learning about ingredients, and asking a question that would ultimately become the foundation of Èclat:
Why should looking good ever come at the expense of healthy skin?
That question became my purpose.
I created Èclat par Yella around the idea of “Heal in Pretty” because I believe beauty and care should exist in the same product. You shouldn’t have to choose between something that looks beautiful and something that treats your body beautifully.
Becoming a Registered Nurse only deepened that mindset. It made me even more intentional about what we put in and on our bodies. Our skin is our largest organ, and I wanted Èclat to reflect the same level of thought, care, and intention I believe our bodies deserve.
Today, I handcraft nearly 90% of Èclat’s products in small batches, thoughtfully selecting botanical oils, herbs, butters, vitamins, and other nourishing ingredients. I even source special ingredients from different parts of the world, not because it’s the easiest way to create, but because I care more about what a product gives to the person using it than how long it can sit on a shelf.
Building Èclat has taken trial and error, investment, consistency, creativity, and a whole lot of faith. There have been moments when I questioned whether people would understand my vision, but I kept coming back to the reason I started: I knew beauty could be more intentional.
What began as a solution for my own sensitive skin grew into something much bigger—a brand created to encourage women to look good, feel good, and become more conscious of what they put on their bodies.
Because pretty should never come at the expense of healthy.
